The Story

My girlfriend bought me a green man suit about 2 years ago. I have been wearing it to basketball games and other social gatherings. I was pretty much our schools unwanted mascot. Our school decided to take a trip to New York City. We visited The Early Show one morning and luckily I brought the suit. I had to wear it under my clothes to prevent all my class from knowing what was about to go done.

I tore off my clothes in the middle of New York City to reveal Green Man. There was only one guy on The Early Show team who knew who green man was. All the anchors had no idea what I was wearing. The stupid weather man called me a used tissue! He thought he was so funny. I attached this picture of the show. My girlfriend is the girl on the left of me. You can also find videos on the internet as well. I did my best to make Charlie proud.

Most recently I made an unexpected appearance to the Chicago Cubs AAA affiliate team the Iowa Cubs, where in the middle of a mascot race, I decided that I really wanted one of the mascots to win. I have been to plenty of games and never saw the Chef win. I hopped onto the field soon after the race began, and I used perfect form tackling, and I truck sticked the hot dog. Soon after the Taquito realized he may be in danger. Although I am probably the biggest green man most have seen, I also have cat like speed! And you can never hear me because of the kitten mittens I wear…aka my Timberland Boots.

I proceeded to catch the taquito and drive him straight into the grass in the outfield. Once I got up, I ran straight to the dugout, did a signature green man dance, and disappeared into the mists. It is now rumored that no green man is allowed on the premises of Principal Park.

Though it may be awhile before you’ll see him at an Iowa Cubs game, I would expect to be seeing Mean Joe “green man” around Des Moines more and more, and it wouldn’t surprise me if you saw him at a few Chicago Cub games this year.

GreenWOMAN has had tons of fun these past few months and it all began one faithful night when a friend was turning 21 and requested that since I had not been able to wear greenwoman on halloween, that I wear the costume downtown in Savannah. I obliged his request, and we went bar hopping and dancing.

It caused quite the stir, I must say! Many people wanted to have their pictures taken with the one and only Green Woman. I was awarded with numerous free shots. The night was coming to a close when we spotted a police officer across the street who needed to be greeted by Green Woman. I crossed the street like any normal person, and approached the officer, and put my elbow on his shoulder and waved to him. He laughed, and said, “hello Green Woman”. I waved back, and headed home with my friends.

Over the next few months Greenwoman went to concerts in Savannah and Philadelphia. Philadelphia was ESPECIALLY pleased with her presence. She raged pretty damn hard at the Disco Biscuits show. In fact, there was a fellow Greenman, who I danced with and received a shout out from the Biscuits, who said, “hello greenpeople”.

Next came the ultimate…St. Patty’s day in Savannah. Greenwoman was in countless photos, a drum circle, the newspaper and forever in the hearts of Savannah locals. There was another greenman and the birds of prey downtown too.
